August + Portraits = Awesome!

September 7th, 2008 Posted in Business, Fine Art Images, Photography, Portrait Photography | No Comments »

August was a really fun and exciting month. Our portrait and senior portrait sessions were booming and it was a really fun and different change of pace from our wedding jobs.

The best part is that September is looking to be more of the same! More senior portraits and more family and children portraiture.

I have to get some sleep sometime so here are just a couple snaps from a couple of the recent sessions that we had. I wish I had time to write more about each of them but my pillow is awaiting.

Afraid of heights?

Take a wild guess as to how high we had to climb to get this shot?

Baseball Engagement session

Yesterday, Becky and I made the trek down to Rochester to photograph Susan and Chris’ eSession. It was a long day but it was fun. Susan and Chris were great and it seriously felt more like hanging out then working! Susan’s brother did an awesome job taking care of us and getting us all access connections around the ball park.

We were everywhere from being literally on top of the stadium to being the actual field itself.

I guess that’s about it. Here are some more shots from yesterday:

Meet Alecia: Senior Portraits

August 20th, 2008 Posted in Photography, Portrait Photography, Senior Portraits | 1 Comment »

Yesterday Becky and I did some shooting in East Aurora with Alecia. We started off at one of our favorite coffee shots, Taste, then over to Knox Farm and back to E. Aurora for some more urban grungy shots. We got some real cool fashion style shots with one of my Canon speedlights off camera set up on a tripod.

I definitely was in the mood to experiment and do some shooting outside of my comfort zone and it really paid off. No troubles whatsoever and I will definitely have to do more flash work in the future. Enough about me geeking over my camera setup, here are some shots from the session:
